Art in the Margins

Inspired by what was once considered “women’s work,” my art is as much about process as it is about the final piece. My work involves hours of meticulous stitching with single strand thread in order to weave the fabric of story. I use the weight of anatomy contrasted with the process of fabric to explore my experiences as an End-of-Life caregiver for my grandmother and my experience of family.
